Alexander Daniels Offshore is officially launching a new regional recruitment team to meet global demand for talented professionals.
According to experts, demand for qualified professionals is at an all-time high, while offshore employment is growing by over 4% each year.
To help meet this demand, our new regional team will look to recruit across leading offshore financial hubs including the Channel Islands (Guernsey and Jersey), Isle of Man, Malta, Luxembourg and several other key jurisdictions, alongside onshore hubs such as London, Southampton and Manchester.
That means whether you’re looking for a compliance officer in Guernsey, supporting a growing finance team in Malta or connecting with new clients in Luxembourg, our new enhanced structure means we’ll be able to match top talent with world-class opportunities more effectively than ever.
Meeting Demand in High-Growth Jurisdictions
According to the KPMG Offshore Talent Survey, around 71% of employers face challenges when hiring internationally qualified talent, highlighting the need for cross-border expertise and agility in existing offshore markets.
There’s a robust demand for professionals in specialised fields such as accountancy, wealth management, compliance, legal and insolvency, meaning organisations are actively having to look for individuals with qualifications such as ACA, ACCA and CPA, never mind international experience, which brings with it its own set of challenges.
Even from our perspective, we’re seeing a noticeable uptick in cross-border mobility. Candidates are frequently relocating between financial hubs in search of dynamic roles and career advancement.
This has brought into sharp focus the need for an extensive network and market knowledge that spans multiple jurisdictions, something our new regional team will provide for clients.
Why Offshore Careers Continue to Attract Global Professionals
So why are offshore careers continuing to attract global professionals?
As you’d imagine, competitive compensation is often the primary benefit, enhanced by the low or zero personal income tax that comes hand-in-hand with these jurisdictions.
The average compensation package is up to 25% higher offshore, and with 60% of firms now offering comprehensive relocation support – including housing assistance and tailored onboarding programmes – the initial challenge of moving is also softened.
Beyond remuneration, the potential for career progression and development is also second-to-none. Roles in these markets offer exposure to cross-border financial transactions, international clients and high-value work, especially in more advanced fields such as restructuring, insolvency and forensics. Smaller teams and faster-moving markets also mean that progression to senior or management positions can occur much more quickly than in traditional onshore markets.
Finally, we have to consider the draw a lifestyle change can bring. Whether it’s the coastal charm of Jersey and Guernsey, the community feel of the Isle of Man or the international buzz of Luxembourg or Malta, offshore centres typically offer professionals an exceptional quality of life, with the potential for flexible working arrangements or improved work-life balance.
