Introducing our brand new series, More Than Just a Job: Life at AD Offshore, a collection of interviews with the people that make up our business!
We’re always striving to be as transparent with our customers and clients as possible, so we thought it’d be a great idea to take a look behind the curtain and see what makes AD Offshore tick – the people, the culture and our approach to life across the islands.
This week, we’re sitting down with Sarah Elliott, Regional Director at AD Offshore. Let’s dive into her story:

What inspired you to join AD Offshore and how did you first hear about us?
“I was friends with Andy Partlow, who invited me to join him on an exciting journey to create a new recruitment start-up business in Guernsey.”
Can you share a standout moment from your first week/month here?
“It was our first day, and just my ex-colleague and I sat in an office with a laptop and mobile phone. We both looked at each other and said, “Now what do we do?”
What were your first impressions of the team and the company culture?
“I conducted extensive background research on the UK office, examining their profiles and videos on YouTube. I found them to be a fantastic team and seemed like a lot of fun.”
How has working at AD impacted your life?
“I’ve had the most incredible experience with AD, personally, for my personal development. I hadn’t previously had much recruitment experience as my background was in Learning & Development.
However, the two skills linked together have been so rewarding. I love helping shape individuals careers, and understanding what drives people. My quote is ‘ I don’t save lives, I change lives, and I love ❤️ making people happy.”
