Life at AD Offshore: Kelly Le Prevost

Introducing our brand new series, More Than Just a Job: Life at AD Offshore, a collection of interviews with the people that make up our business!

We’re always striving to be as transparent with our customers and clients as possible, so we thought it’d be a great idea to take a look behind the curtain and see what makes AD Offshore tick – the people, the culture and our approach to life across the islands.

This week, we’re sitting down with Kelly Le Prevost, Regional Senior Consultant at AD Offshore. Let’s dive into her story:

What inspired you to join AD Offshore and how did you first hear about us?

“I first heard about AD through Sarah, who I had the pleasure of working with during my time at the GTA. In fact, my first week at GTA coincided with Sarah’s final week there, just as she was leaving to establish the AD Guernsey office.

“Our very first conversation was about recruitment, and I remember feeling genuinely excited by the vision and potential of AD.

“Having previously worked in recruitment in the UK, I explored opportunities with other agencies upon returning to Guernsey. However, nothing really felt quite right. When the opportunity arose to reconnect with Sarah and potentially be part of something that aligned so well with my values and experience, I knew I had to explore it – and 4 years later I’m so glad I did!”

Can you share a standout moment from your first week/month here?

“A standout moment from my first week was seeing just how knowledgeable the team were. They knew the market like the back of their hand, and everything seemed to come so naturally to them.

“Recruitment involves juggling so many moving parts at once and watching how seamlessly they managed it all was incredibly motivating – I knew I wanted to reach that level of confidence and capability myself.”

What were your first impressions of the team and the company culture?

“My first impression of the team was how diverse the personalities were – each person brought something unique to the table, and it just worked.

“There was a real “work hard, play hard” culture, and I was struck by how incredibly hardworking everyone was, while still keeping the atmosphere fun and energetic.

“It was clear from the start that the team was driven but didn’t take themselves too seriously – a balance that really stood out to me.”

How has working at AD impacted your life?

“Working at AD has had a significant impact on my life – without a doubt, financially, but also on a personal and professional level.

“The environment here has really pushed me to develop, step outside my comfort zone, and back myself more.”

How has your role evolved since you started?

“I initially joined AD as a Recruitment Consultant focused solely on the Guernsey market.

“After a couple of years, I was promoted to Senior Consultant – a reflection of the strong relationships I’d built and the results I’d delivered locally.

“Earlier this year, I took on a new challenge by joining our newly formed Regional team, supporting clients with their recruitment needs across multiple jurisdictions.

“While I continue to work closely with my Guernsey clients and candidates, expanding my reach into other markets has been a really exciting evolution of my role and a great next step in my career with AD.”

What skills have you gained or developed during your time with us?

“Since joining AD, two of the biggest skills I’ve developed are confidence and patience.

“Recruitment is fast-paced and constantly changing – you’re often juggling multiple roles, candidates, and clients at once.

“It’s taught me how to trust my instincts, have more impactful conversations, and confidently advise both clients and candidates.

“Patience has come from knowing that not everything happens on your timeline – whether it’s waiting for feedback, navigating expectations, or supporting someone through a career move, learning to stay calm and solution-focused has been invaluable.”

Tell us about a project or achievement you’re particularly proud of?

“One of the things I’m most proud of during my time at AD has been supporting candidates through some incredibly challenging personal and professional situations.

“Without going into specifics or breaching confidentiality, I’ve been able to help a few individuals navigate what felt like impossible circumstances and ultimately secure roles that genuinely changed their lives.

“Building strong, trusting relationships with my candidates is something I take great pride in – and many of those relationships have grown into lasting friendships. That, for me, is what recruitment is really all about.”

How has working here helped you grow personally or professionally?

“Working at AD has had a huge impact on both my personal and professional growth.

“Personally, after going through a challenging time, the support from the team helped me regain my confidence and feel like myself again.

“It’s a really special environment where you’re encouraged and backed every step of the way.

“Professionally, I’ve developed so much – this role has shown me how much I love what I do, and it’s an amazing feeling to know I’ve found the right career path.”

What’s your favourite part of your job?

“My favourite part of the job is telling candidates they’ve got the job – it’s such a rewarding moment.

“Knowing I’ve played a part in helping someone take the next step in their career and then seeing them thrive is what makes this role so meaningful.”

How would you describe the culture at AD in three words?

“Supportive, driven and fun.”

What’s the most surprising or unexpected thing you’ve learned while working here?

“That recruitment is just as much about emotional intelligence as it is about process – building trust, supporting people through major life changes, and being a consistent guide through uncertainty.

“It’s more human and impactful than I ever expected.”

Can you share a time when the team or leadership made a difference to your day?

“There isn’t one particular moment that stands out – it’s the consistency that really makes the difference.

“The laughter, banter, and genuine friendships we’ve built in the office is pretty special. No matter what kind of day I’m having, the team always finds a way to lift my spirits.

“Whether it’s an impromptu therapy session, a heated (but hilarious) office debate, or one of the many inside jokes (usually at my expense) – there’s never a dull moment, and that daily positivity is something I value more than I can say.”

If you could give one piece of advice to someone joining AD, what would it be?

“If I could give one piece of advice to someone joining AD, it would be: buckle up – it’s a roller coaster!

“Recruitment can be fast-paced and challenging, but it’s also incredibly rewarding. You’ll learn so much, grow both personally and professionally, and be part of a team that makes the journey truly worthwhile.”

What’s your favourite team tradition or event?

“My favourite team tradition has to be our client Christmas event. It’s such a fun day where everyone really gets into the festive spirit.

“We transform the office into a local seller’s market by day and a disco by night – it’s the perfect mix of work and celebration, and it really captures the energy and culture of the team.”
