Life at AD Offshore: Evie Finetti

Introducing our brand new series, More Than Just a Job: Life at AD Offshore, a collection of interviews with the people that make up our business!

We’re always striving to be as transparent with our customers and clients as possible, so we thought it’d be a great idea to take a look behind the curtain and see what makes AD Offshore tick – the people, the culture and our approach to life across the islands.

This week, we’re sitting down with Evie Finetti, Marketing and Recruitment Administrator at AD Offshore. Let’s dive into her story:

What inspired you to join AD Offshore and how did you first hear about us?

“I had heard from a few different people that the AD Team had greatly helped them with their job search. I first heard from them as my sister knows Alex, and she recommended me to AD for help in starting my career. I was registered with Elly, and she was helping me look for a job. However, it turned out that AD were looking for a Marketing and Recruitment Administrator, so I interviewed for that role and here I am!”

Can you share a standout moment from your first week/month here?

“When I went out for the first time with them for one of my colleagues’ leaving meals, I realised how nice everyone was and how respectful they are towards each other.”

What were your first impressions of the team and the company culture?

“From the start, everyone was extremely welcoming and made me feel a lot less nervous. They all seem to get on very well and have a lot of respect for one another.”

How has working at AD impacted your life?

“It has definitely made me a lot more confident and sure of myself, along with making me happier as I wake up every morning, not dreading going to work.”

“I would say my role has become busier since I first started, and I now have more independence in my position because I understand what I’m doing.”

What skills have you gained or developed during your time with us?

“I would say I have gained a lot more confidence in myself, and I feel more relaxed when I talk to new people, as my social skills have definitely improved massively.”

Tell us about a project or achievement you’re particularly proud of?

“At the moment, I am working on a new plan for Bill’s social media posts, which is my first marketing project I have had here at AD. So keep an eye on Bill’s social media.”

How has working here helped you grow personally or professionally?

“This is my first proper job, so I feel like it has definitely made me mature in some sense, as I have a job I enjoy, and I look forward to my days in the office.

“So I would say it has made me grow personally and professionally.

“As I said, it has definitely made me a more confident person, and I now have more goals I want to achieve for myself.”

What’s your favourite part of your job?

“My favourite part of my job would have to be the marketing side of it, as I have been given the freedom to create social media posts for the company and use my own creativity.”
