We’re working with our client, an award-winning provider of private wealth, fund and corporate administration services in St Helier, Jersey, to appoint a Senior Fund Accountant to join our client’s team. This is a permanent opportunity where you’ll take ownership of fund and corporate accounting, deliver high-quality reporting and play a key role in enhancing the client experience.

Key Skills

  • Fund accounting expertise – confidently handle routine fund accounting operations and ensure accurate execution and recording of all related activities.

  • Financial reporting – independently prepare straightforward sets of accounts, financial statements and specialised investor reporting within agreed timescales.

  • Technical knowledge (IFRS / UK GAAP) – apply up-to-date knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP to ensure compliant and robust financial reporting.

  • Client service mindset – provide exceptional service, proactive query management and strong relationship management with clients, advisors and auditors.

  • Communication & interpersonal skills – build close working relationships across our client’s team and with external stakeholders through clear, professional communication.

  • Attention to detail & deadline focus – maintain accurate bookkeeping and reporting while working collaboratively and flexibly to meet deadlines.

  • Leadership & mentoring – support and mentor junior staff, contributing to a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Professional development – working towards or holding a chartered accountant qualification (ACA/ACCA), demonstrating commitment to ongoing growth.

What you’ll do

  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate bookkeeping for fund and corporate structures.

  • Prepare accounts, financial statements and investor reporting independently.

  • Manage queries from colleagues, clients, advisors and auditors proactively.

  • Coordinate accounting matters, including regular reporting and meeting attendance.

  • Process and oversee routine fund accounting operations and related activities.

What you’ll need

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a funds environment at a similar level.

  • Good knowledge of basic accounts preparation in a fund context.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.

  • Working towards or holding ACA/ACCA qualification.
