Senior Fund Accountant

We are working with our client, an award winning provider of private wealth, fund and corporate administration services, to appoint a Senior Fund Accountant to join our their team in St Peter Port, Guernsey. This is a permanent opportunity within a growing funds platform where you will play a key role in delivering accurate accounting, exceptional client service and supporting our client’s continued investment in Guernsey as a leading international finance centre.

• Knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP – strong technical understanding to prepare and review statutory financial statements and specialised reporting.

• Ability to work independently – comfortable taking ownership of tasks and leading processes such as client audits.

What you’ll do

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate bookkeeping for fund and corporate structures.

• Prepare bank reconciliations, including detailed analysis of cash payments and receipts.

• Set up entity, investor and related data in the accounting system.

• Prepare and proof statutory financial statements and specialised investor reporting.

• Lead client audit processes and manage queries from clients, advisors and auditors.

What you’ll need

• Strong understanding of what quality client service looks like in a fund administration environment.

• Good working knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.

• Ability to demonstrate excellence and continuous improvement in your work.

• Deadline-driven approach with collaborative and flexible working style.

• Currently studying towards ACCA / ACA or equivalent.
