We are working with our client, a growing, multi-jurisdictional financial services business, to appoint a Management Accountant in St Helier, Jersey. This is a permanent opportunity to play a central role in managing group-wide finances across Jersey, Guernsey, the UK and Luxembourg, supporting the Group Financial Controller (GFC) and becoming a key part of our client’s team as they continue to expand and strengthen their financial control environment.

Key skills

  • Ledger control: Supporting the GFC in maintaining and controlling nominal, sales and purchase ledgers across multiple entities and jurisdictions.

  • Revenue management: Delivering WIP reporting, managing fee profiles and monitoring aged debt to maximise income and support cash flow.

  • Financial reporting: Assisting with monthly management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis to inform strategic decision-making.

  • Regulatory and technical accounting: Preparing annual financial statements under FRS 102 and Lux GAAP, and supporting VAT, GST and corporate tax compliance.

  • Audit and governance: Liaising with external auditors, enhancing policies and financial controls, and ensuring strong corporate governance.

What you’ll do

  • Support the GFC in maintaining nominal ledgers for group entities in Jersey, Guernsey, UK and Luxembourg.

  • Run the sales ledger, generate sales invoices and manage fee profiles in NavOne.

  • Oversee purchase ledgers, bank reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations including transfer pricing.

  • Assist with monthly management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.

  • Support audits, preparation of financial statements and group-wide tax and regulatory capital management.

What you’ll need

  • Experience managing nominal, sales and purchase ledgers in a multi-entity environment.

  • Strong understanding of management accounting, WIP and revenue recognition.

  • Knowledge of FRS 102 (and ideally Lux GAAP) and preparation of statutory financial statements.

  • Background in audit liaison, financial controls and corporate governance frameworks.

  • Exposure to VAT, GST and corporate tax compliance and regulatory capital considerations.
