Our client, a global leader in fiduciary services, is seeking a Head of Private Clients to lead its Guernsey-based operations. This pivotal role offers a unique opportunity to direct fiduciary services in a regulated environment while acting as a director on client entities, making significant contributions to the growth and governance of our clients’ offerings in Guernsey and beyond.

Key Skills Required:

  • Leadership: Proven ability to coach, develop, and inspire teams, ensuring strategic goals are met through effective leadership.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of private client structures such as trusts, companies, and foundations, with a solid understanding of governance and regulatory requirements.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong ability to build and maintain effective client and professional networks within the Guernsey market.
  • Commercial Acumen: Demonstrated experience in budget ownership, target delivery, and generating new business opportunities.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Guernsey’s fiduciary regulations, AML/CFT expectations, and broader international developments.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the Guernsey Private Clients business to align local priorities with global strategy.
  • Grow and strengthen a high-quality private client portfolio and generate referrals across the business.
  • Serve as a director for complex client structures, ensuring independent and compliant decision-making.
  • Ensure best-in-class client service by maintaining high fiduciary governance standards.
  • Represent our client’s firm in the local business community, enhancing market visibility and reputation.

What You’ll Need:

  • Significant leadership experience in fiduciary services or a related field.
  • Expertise in private client structures, including trusts and company administration.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills to engage with internal and external networks.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience in managing sensitive, multi-jurisdictional client matters.
