Director – Global Accounting

We are currently partnering with our client, a respected organisation in St Peter Port, Guernsey, to appoint a Director – Global Accounting. This permanent leadership position sits within the legal sector and will play a pivotal role in shaping and overseeing global accounting activities, while working closely with stakeholders across our client’s team to support regulatory, commercial and strategic priorities.

Key Skills

• Legal: Ability to operate effectively within a legal-sector environment, understanding how accounting decisions intersect with regulatory frameworks, compliance requirements and client obligations.

What you’ll do

• Provide strategic leadership for global accounting operations across multiple jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders within our client’s team to align accounting practices with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee the integrity of financial reporting and ensure robust controls and governance.
• Support commercial decision-making by providing accurate financial insights and analysis.
• Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes and systems to support growth.

What you’ll need

• Proven experience operating at director level within accounting or finance.
• Strong understanding of working within or alongside the legal sector.
• Demonstrated ability to manage global or multi-jurisdictional accounting activities.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence at senior levels.
• A strategic mindset with the capability to balance governance, risk and commercial priorities.
