Job Description

We are partnering with our client, an award-winning, fast-growing technology and managed services provider, to recruit a Business Support Administrator – Procurement to join our client’s team in Forest, Guernsey. In this permanent role, you’ll play a key part in supporting procurement, purchasing and sales administration across the Channel Islands and beyond, working closely with colleagues in Guernsey, Jersey and Dubai to ensure smooth, efficient and well-governed procurement and renewal activity.

Key Skills

  • Supplier relationship management – building and maintaining strong relationships, obtaining quotes and supporting negotiations to secure value for money.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills – engaging confidently with internal stakeholders, customers and external suppliers to keep processes moving.
  • Organisational ability – managing multiple tasks, priorities and deadlines with accuracy and efficiency.
  • IT proficiency – using IT systems, preferably Microsoft 365, and learning procurement and sales platforms quickly.
  • Attention to detail – maintaining high levels of accuracy, particularly under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving and initiative – identifying issues, improving processes and strengthening controls and ways of working.
  • Confidentiality and professionalism – handling sensitive and commercially confidential information in line with company policies.

What you’ll do

  • Support end-to-end procurement processes to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Obtain supplier quotes, prepare customer sales quotes and maintain accurate records.
  • Coordinate software renewals and licensing management across our client’s operations.
  • Monitor inventory levels, replenish stock and assist with managed print contracts and consumables.
  • Provide general administrative support, participate in special projects and comply with relevant legislation and policies.

What you’ll need

  • Demonstrated ability to manage supplier relationships and secure competitive pricing.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders, customers and vendors.
  • Proven organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Confidence using IT systems, especially Microsoft 365 and business applications.
  • A meticulous, proactive approach with a focus on accuracy and governance.
