We’re working on an exceptional Compliance Consultant opportunity based in St Peter Port, Guernsey. Our client is a forward-thinking consultancy that supports a broad range of financial and non-financial services businesses in navigating governance, risk and regulatory requirements with practical, commercially aware advice. Guernsey compliance expertise – at least 5 years’ experience, with a strong grasp of local regulatory requirements and industry practice.
Prescribed roles experience – proven background operating as MLRO, MLCO or Compliance Officer, providing informed and robust compliance oversight.
GFSC POI and fiduciary knowledge – essential understanding of regulatory regimes and practical application across relevant client structures.
Client relationship management – ability to build and maintain trusted partnerships, retaining and attracting clients through quality advice and service.
Communication and thought leadership – confidence in writing articles, recording podcasts, and delivering presentations and training to clients.
Commercial awareness – capable of negotiating fees and monitoring WIP, billing and budgets against agreed arrangements.
Self-driven working style – comfortable working on your own initiative with limited supervision in a consultancy setting.
Hold prescribed roles such as MLRO, MLCO and Compliance Officer for a portfolio of clients.
Provide day-to-day regulatory and compliance advice and assistance.
Draft and implement client-specific policies and procedures.
Design and deliver tailored compliance training and awareness sessions.
Support the growth of our client’s business through events and thought-leadership initiatives.
At least 5 years’ experience in Guernsey compliance.
ICA certificate or diploma in a relevant compliance discipline.
Demonstrable experience as an MLRO, MLCO or Compliance Officer.
Strong GFSC POI and/or fiduciary regulatory experience.
Confidence in producing content (articles, podcasts) and delivering presentations and training.
