We are working with our client, a respected fund business based in St Peter Port, Guernsey, who is looking to add a Trainee Compliance Officer to our client’s team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to start or develop a career in fund compliance, gaining exposure to the regulatory framework governing funds and supporting the robust governance that underpins our client’s success.

Skills

  • Attention to detail – carefully reviewing documentation and data to identify inconsistencies or potential compliance issues.
  • Analytical thinking – assessing information logically to support compliance monitoring and reporting within the fund sector.
  • Organisational ability – managing multiple tasks and deadlines, keeping records and processes structured and up to date.
  • Professional communication – liaising clearly and respectfully with colleagues and stakeholders when clarifying compliance matters.
  • Willingness to learn – developing knowledge of fund regulations and internal compliance procedures through on-the-job training.

What you’ll do

  • Support our client’s team with day-to-day compliance monitoring activities for fund structures.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance records and registers in line with internal procedures.
  • Help prepare basic compliance reports and summaries for internal stakeholders.
  • Learn and follow regulatory requirements applicable to funds in Guernsey.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure policies and procedures are consistently applied.
