We are working with our client, a highly respected international provider of Active Wealth and corporate services, to appoint a Senior Trust Officer to join our client’s team in St Peter Port, Guernsey. You’ll manage a complex portfolio of trusts, companies and other wealth structures for high-net-worth clients across multiple jurisdictions, delivering first-class service while playing a key role in the continued growth and reputation of our client’s Guernsey office.
Key Skills
- Financial Services expertise – Proven experience within the fiduciary/wealth management sector, handling complex trust and company structures and understanding the commercial drivers behind client relationships.
- Client relationship management – Ability to build long-term relationships with high-net-worth individuals and intermediaries, delivering responsive and tailored service.
- Risk awareness – Strong understanding of risk policies and the ability to apply them pragmatically across client structures to ensure compliance and robust governance.
- Commercial acumen – Focus on time recording, utilisation and working capital management, including WIP control and fee collection, to enhance profitability of the client book.
- Team coaching and support – Capability to guide and support more junior colleagues, sharing technical knowledge and contributing positively to team morale.
What you’ll do
- Take direct administrative responsibility for a complex portfolio of trusts, companies and wealth structures.
- Deliver high-quality, timely service to clients, intermediaries and other stakeholders.
- Identify and act on new business and revenue opportunities within your portfolio.
- Apply risk policies and parameters to ensure client structures remain compliant and well-governed.
- Support and coach junior team members, sharing technical knowledge and best practice.
What you’ll need
- At least 5 years’ experience working with high-net-worth clients in the fiduciary field.
- Proven track record handling complex trust and corporate structures and transactions.
- Sound knowledge of current issues impacting fiduciary structures and private wealth clients.
- Strong time management, prioritisation and the ability to work under time-driven pressures.
- Educated to A-Level (or equivalent) and holding or studying towards STEP or ICSA, with commitment to ongoing CPD.
