We are working with our client, a leading provider of private wealth, fund and corporate administration services in St Peter Port, Guernsey, who is looking to appoint a Senior Manager, Fund Accounting to play a key role in strengthening their Guernsey funds platform and supporting their long-term commitment to the Island as an international finance centre.
Understanding of quality client service – able to deliver a high-touch, responsive experience to clients and advisors.
Strong funds environment experience – at least 8 years at a similar level, with hands-on fund accounting and accounts preparation.
Up-to-date IFRS and UK GAAP knowledge – confident interpreting and applying relevant accounting standards.
Continuous improvement mindset – actively seeks ways to enhance processes, controls and efficiency.
Deadline-oriented and collaborative – manages multiple priorities while working flexibly with colleagues and stakeholders.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – builds close working relationships with clients, auditors and our client’s team.
Sound technical financial services knowledge – including current regulatory and legal requirements impacting fund structures.
Proven team leadership – able to motivate and mentor junior staff to deliver high-quality work independently.
Lead accurate bookkeeping and fund accounting for complex fund and corporate structures.
Deliver financial statements and specialist investor reporting within regulatory and client deadlines.
Coordinate accounting matters, including attendance at board and shareholder meetings where required.
Act as a line manager and mentor, allocating work and developing junior members of our client’s team.
Support business development, raising our client’s profile through stakeholder engagement and industry participation.
Proven track record as a senior manager in a funds environment, with at least 8 years’ relevant experience.
Strong knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP and associated accounts preparation.
Ability to drive a culture of excellence, continuous improvement and robust controls.
Confident communicator with excellent attention to detail and stakeholder management skills.
ACCA or ACA qualification.
