We’re seeking an experienced High Net Worth Underwriter to join a leading insurance provider in the Channel Islands. This is a fantastic opportunity to manage a portfolio of high-value personal insurance risks for affluent clients, while working closely with brokers and private client managers to deliver bespoke solutions.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for underwriting complex HNW risks within delegated authority, maintaining high service standards, and supporting business development through strong intermediary relationships. You’ll collaborate with internal teams to manage risk, monitor market trends, and contribute to underwriting strategy and process improvements. The position may also involve mentoring junior team members and supporting wider operational goals.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in HNW personal lines underwriting, a strong understanding of the HNW market, and excellent decision-making, analytical, and negotiation skills. Progress towards or possession of a relevant qualification such as Dip CII is preferred. Familiarity with the Channel Islands regulatory environment is an advantage.
