Working closely with executive leadership and key stakeholders, this role offers strategic oversight of compliance, governance and financial crime frameworks, while providing the opportunity to influence business decisions, regulatory outcomes and organisational culture.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and oversee the organisation’s compliance, governance and financial crime functions.
- Provide strategic guidance on regulatory, compliance and risk matters across the business.
- Maintain and enhance compliance, AML and financial crime frameworks, policies and controls.
- Act as a trusted adviser to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Oversee financial crime monitoring, including AML, sanctions, anti-bribery and fraud prevention activities.
- Manage regulatory relationships, reporting obligations and external communications.
- Prepare and present governance, risk and compliance reporting to senior stakeholders.
- Monitor regulatory developments and drive the implementation of regulatory change.
- Provide oversight and challenge across risk management and control frameworks.
- Lead, mentor and develop compliance professionals while promoting a strong culture of integrity and accountability.
- Support strategic projects, business initiatives and continuous improvement programmes.
What You’ll Need
- Significant experience leading compliance, governance, risk or financial crime functions within a regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, AML frameworks and financial crime controls.
- Experience engaging with regulators, executive leadership teams and senior stakeholders.
- Proven leadership and people management capabilities.
- Relevant professional qualifications within compliance, governance, risk or financial crime would be advantageous.
- Excellent analytical, communication and decision-making skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to balance regulatory obligations with business objectives.
- Ability to influence, challenge and support stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
