We’re proud to partner with our client in St Peter Port, Guernsey, as they seek to welcome a diligent, detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Accountant to their accomplished Financial Services team. This is a permanent opportunity to perform a critical bookkeeping function, supporting client accounts while adhering to professional accounting standards and confidentiality. Key Skills

  • Bookkeeping Expertise: Confidently handle a wide range of bookkeeping duties for numerous client accounts, including trading companies.

  • Attention to Detail: Ensure all financial postings to the Acumen accounting system are accurate and timely.

  • Organisation: Maintain thorough and systematic documentation for bookkeeping and financial activities.

  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with proprietary office software; knowledge of Acumen is an advantage but not mandatory.

  • Communication Skills: Build strong professional relationships and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform bookkeeping for diverse client accounts, including trading companies.

  • Reconcile and process debtor and creditor ledgers with precision.

  • Support investment schedules, including FX trades, interest swaps, and property deals.

  • Assist in drafting documentation for complex financial policies and procedures.

  • Provide ad hoc support to the department manager and team members.

What You’ll Need

  • Experience in accounting environments with bookkeeping responsibilities.

  • Ability to thrive under pressure, meeting strict deadlines with accuracy.

  • Strong organisational skills to manage high volumes of work.

  • High levels of confidentiality in handling sensitive information.

  • Proficiency in office software; training provided for Acumen if required.
