FTTP Installation Technician

We have a great new opportunity for an FTTP Installation Technician to join a leading telecommunications provider.

Responsibilities:

• • Install and maintain all FTTP services and CPE including fusion/mechanical splicing and mechanical enclosures.
  • Carry out site surveys and liaise with customers regarding new installations.
  • Interpretation of schematics, duct space, cable records and plant diagrams.
  • To install and maintain telephone lines using ATA technology.
  • To install and maintain the Piper Lifeline product within the FTTP environment.
  • To undertake climbing duties as required.
  • To operate computer systems as required to perform duties.
  • The ability to work at height as one of the main job functions will involve climbing poles and the use of ladders.
  • The installation of underground and overhead fibre optic plant and other minor works duties as required.
  • Provide assistance within the group as determined by the team leader/line manager.
  • Efficiently manage weekly schedule for site surveys and installations to achieve required targets.
