We are looking for a confident, engaging, and experienced Underwriter to join the Commercial team. In this key role, they will be responsible for underwriting new and existing business in line with the processes and risk appetite, helping to achieve both growth and client retention goals.
The successful candidate will work closely with the broker partners to identify, discuss, and negotiate commercial opportunities, applying sound underwriting judgment and building strong relationships. Their ability to combine technical expertise with excellent service delivery will be essential as they contribute to the success of the wider team. The responsibilities will include assessing and managing risk, referring cases outside of your authority, and managing broker and client interactions
We’re ideally looking for someone with prior underwriting or insurance experience, preferably supported by CII qualifications or a willingness to work towards them. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage workload independently are essential.
