We are looking for a confident and experienced Senior Underwriter to join the Commercial team. In this key role, they will take ownership of underwriting cases, supporting both new business and renewals, while contributing to the team’s overall performance and success.
In this hands-on role, the successful candidate will collaborate with brokers to leverage relationship management and business development skills to identify and seize opportunities while exercising sound underwriting judgment within a defined risk appetite. Key responsibilities include assessing risk, making informed underwriting decisions, and referring cases beyond their authority, all while delivering exceptional service and fostering lasting broker relationships.
To succeed in this role, the candidate will need strong experience in commercial underwriting, excellent communication and organisational skills, and the ability to work independently and under pressure. Experience working with brokers and across multiple insurance products is essential. Ideally, they will also hold or be working towards CII qualifications.
