Professional Support Lawyer

An international legal practice in Jersey is seeking a dedicated and experienced Professional Support Lawyer to join their team. This pivotal role involves working across multiple practice areas including Corporate, Funds, Trust, and Private Wealth to elevate their legal training and knowledge management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage the department’s collections of precedents and legal know-how, ensuring they are easily accessible.
• Design and deliver comprehensive legal and knowledge training for departments.
• Stay ahead by monitoring legal and market developments, updating the team as necessary.
• Collaborate with partners and the marketing team to produce client briefings and thought leadership pieces on relevant topics.
• Handle fee earner queries and research requests efficiently.
• Drive the knowledge strategy for the departments forward, implementing wider knowledge projects that include automating and restyling precedents.
• Work closely with the Knowledge Director and other KM team members to shape and enhance the knowledge strategy for Jersey and the broader firm. This includes piloting new systems and improving workflows.

The ideal candidate should be qualified in a recognised common wealth law jurisdiction such as England and Wales, with at least 5 years’ post-qualification experience in a leading firm. Prior experience in PSL or knowledge management is highly desirable.
