Pilot Manager

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Pilot Manager to join a local commercial company. This role is central to maintaining high standards across recruitment, performance, culture, and compliance within the flight operations team.

As Pilot Manager, the successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day management of pilots, ensuring recruitment, onboarding, professional development, and departures align with operational needs. The responsibilities include managing attendance, pilot engagement, and appraisals while ensuring workflow efficiency, quality, and regulatory compliance. They will handle disciplinary issues, support employee welfare, maintain the Local Procedures Manual, and lead departmental communications while consistently applying HR policies.

We are looking for someone with line management experience, preferably in a multi-faceted environment. The ideal candidate should have strong communication and organisational skills, experience handling complex employee matters, and a collaborative, calm approach to people management. Operational writing experience and an understanding of Guernsey’s working environment are essential. Desirable skills include three or more years in a managerial role and the ability to coach and mentor team members.
