We are looking for an IT Support Technician to join an esteemed Insurance Firm across the Channel Islands. The role involves providing excellent service to internal and external customers while ensuring smooth IT operations aligned with the company’s strategy and values.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing first-line support for hardware, software, and network issues, managing an IT ticketing system, and escalating complex problems as needed. They’ll assist in maintaining network security, offer on-the-job training and coaching to colleagues, and help improve IT processes. Staying up to date with best practices in IT systems and security will also be a key part of the role.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT systems and security, with relevant qualifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Technician. Experience in an IT or support role is beneficial, but not essential. The candidate should have excellent communication skills, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
