We are looking for a proactive Credit & Lending Legal Officer to join the team. This essential role supports Legal Risk throughout the loan lifecycle, ensuring excellent client service in the high net worth lending business.
The successful candidate will assist with loan documentation, manage deals through to drawdown and beyond, and liaise closely with relationship managers, external solicitors, and clients. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing facility documentation, maintaining accurate loan records, and ensuring legal and credit risks are managed in line with internal processes. They will also help drive process improvements and participate in relevant departmental projects.
The ideal candidate will have legal experience (paralegal, legal assistant, or credit operations), preferably with exposure to property or finance transactions. They should be client-focused, highly organised, and comfortable working under pressure. Strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and attention to detail are key.
