Are you looking to take the next step in your finance career? Our client, a leading name in the legal sector, is on the hunt for a Finance Officer to join their global Finance team. Based in St Helier, Jersey, you’ll play an integral part in their Accounts Receivable function, working closely with the Finance Operations Manager and a dynamic finance team. If you are detail-oriented, have strong communication skills, and a sound understanding of accounting principles, this could be the perfect role for you!

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Accurately receiving incoming funds and completing timely daily/month-end bank reconciliations.
  • Preparing court stamps, certificates, and payment requests whilst handling property transactions.
  • Managing Accounts Receivable queries and resolving unreconciled entries promptly.
  • Producing daily, weekly, and monthly cashflow reports for multiple jurisdictions and currencies.
  • Administering client money accounts and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Contributing to the improvement of finance operations procedures where necessary.

Skills You’ll Bring

  • Accounting Knowledge: A demonstrable grasp of basic accounting principles.
  • Attention to Detail: High levels of accuracy in every task you undertake.
  • Communication: Confident in engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritise effectively under high workloads.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (formulas and pivot tables), with familiarity in systems like Elite 3e or Viewpoint being an advantage.
