We are seeking an Assistant Vice President (AVP) for a pivotal role at a leading Bank in St Peter Port. As a Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer/Money Laundering Compliance Officer and Nominated Officer, you will support the compliance team in ensuring robust financial crime control frameworks.

Your responsibilities will include:

– Assisting the MLRO and MLCO with their duties.
– Preparing for site visits and thematic reviews by regulatory bodies.
– Acting as deputy during the absence of the MLRO, handling internal disclosures, consent requests, etc.
– Facilitating audits related to Financial Crime controls.
– Implementing effective monitoring systems against money laundering activities.

Qualifications required:

– A minimum 5-year track record in compliance within international finance or banking sectors is essential.
– Possession of relevant qualifications such as an ICA Diploma.

Skills critical to success:

– Regulatory Acumen: Understanding specific regulations around anti-money laundering (AML), counter-financing terrorism (CFT), and sanctions obligations particularly concerning Guernsey laws.
– Communication Prowess: Articulate complex issues effectively through both verbal and written communication.
– Analytical Mindset: Employ sharp analytical thinking necessary for reviewing onboardings or periodic evaluations while maintaining high accuracy levels.
