A Channel Islands company is seeking a motivated Commercial Underwriter. They will work with the underwriting team to manage client relationships while ensuring compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
In this role, the successful candidate will assess commercial insurance risks, propose and negotiate policy terms within your authority, and ensure fair outcomes that reflect our risk appetite and that of our capacity providers. They will also maintain strong relationships with internal teams, clients, and insurers, supporting excellent service delivery and underwriting performance.
Ideal candidates will have strong interpersonal skills, underwriting experience, and a good understanding of the general insurance market. A Diploma in Insurance (or progress toward it) is desirable, along with GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English at grade C or above.
