A local company seeks a Chair to lead its Board and shape its future in a changing media landscape. This high-profile opportunity is for a Guernsey-based individual with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of local business.
The Chair’s primary role is to act as the chief facilitator and leader of the Board, ensuring effective governance and strong board engagement. This includes chairing board meetings, setting agendas in partnership with the CEO, and fostering collaborative, strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will also provide support and constructive challenge to the senior management team, helping to set priorities and offer guidance.
The ideal candidate will possess customer-centric thinking, commercial acumen, and an understanding of digital transformation in the media industry. While media experience isn’t essential, a strong business leadership record and presence in Guernsey’s business community are required. The role includes attending four board meetings annually and regular engagement with senior management, fellow directors, and the shareholders’ representative.
