A leading firm in Guernsey is seeking a motivated Associate to join the Financial Services Law team. This role offers exposure to a broad range of corporate, commercial, investment funds, banking, and regulatory matters, providing high-quality legal advice to clients.
The successful candidate will work closely with partners, senior associates, and paralegals, taking on increasing responsibility as they develop. Key tasks include managing transactions, conducting legal research, drafting documents, and ensuring compliance with CDD and AML procedures. The individual will also support business development initiatives, contribute to thought leadership, and help grow the firm’s reputation.
The ideal candidate will have 0-2 years PQE with a UK or Guernsey-recognised legal qualification. A strong understanding of banking, corporate, and regulatory law is preferred, along with excellent drafting, organisational, and communication skills. A proactive, client-focused approach and commercial awareness are essential.
